body hair, wrinkles, scars and pigment spots

Ink drawing 56 x 76 , 100 x 120 cm. 2020

A series of portraits where the person is rendered only through the hair, wrinkles, scars and pigment spots. The conventional means of drawing a persons portrait ( contour lines, eyes, mouth etc ) are left empty - and must be imagined by the spectator. Instead the depicted lines and marks point to the biological aging process and physical signs of lived experience.
