Paper streamers on wall, variable size. 2007-08
Inspired by classic modernist icons like Mondrian and Malevich; in my version the “pure” abstract painting’s structure and colours are used to create an on-the-spot wall-work where the original’s primary colors are replaced with second order colours and the brush-strokes by paper streamers going off-format. The works are my personal homage and reaction, a festive twist to the early modernist ideology of purity.
