The harmony of a traditional bourgeois dessert-table confronted with internal conflicts and disorder. The almond - cake becomes an eruptive volcano where “exotic” sweets, peanuts and olives threaten the order of the table.

 
 

Siege

The traditional Kranskekake – almond cake – is staged as a fortress under siege by growing garlic. The food becomes a metaphor for national protectionism and xenophobia.
